What to Expect...

Runs for aprox. 2 hrs from 1pm - 3pm

Meet us at the Tea Rooms of Killiney Hill and spend the afternoon collecting plants from the woodlands of Killiney Hill while learning about the fascinating process of natural dyeing. After taking in the stunning sea views at the obelisk you will make your way down to the The Druid's Chair Pub for the eco printing segment of the workshop.

During the process you will use your collected leaves to eco print a sample of Irish linen.

Eco printing is an environmentally friendly dyeing technique that involves using leaves or flowers to create prints on fabric. The process involves bundling the plants in fabric soaked in natural minerals and then steaming it to transfer the pigments from the plants onto the material. The result is a beautiful, unique and organic pattern.

While waiting for the eco prints to process in the pot, we will have a short break where you can enjoy some drinks or food from the cosy bar downstairs.
