With a background in costume design for film and theatre, Alison graduated with first-class honours in Design for Stage and Screen from the Dun Laoghaire Institute of Art, Design and Technology in 2020. Her early career saw her working on high-profile productions, including Ridley Scott’s The Last Duel, but her desire to explore her creativity in a more meaningful way led her to establish Modh in 2021.

Since its founding, Modh has become synonymous with slow, sustainable design. Alison’s dedication to her craft has earned her the prestigious DCCI Future Maker Award and recognition as a finalist in Irish Country Magazine’s Irish Made Awards for textiles.
